Website Privacy Notice

How we handle public website inquiries, technical information, communication preferences, and privacy requests.

Wise Zebra Global is an admissions and education planning service operated by WISE ZEBRA MICHIGAN ACADEMY L.L.C.

This Website Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information obtained through the public Wise Zebra Global website. It applies to public website inquiries and enrollment-information submissions. Information collected after a family enters into a paid service agreement may also be governed by the applicable service agreement, consent forms, and other client notices.

01

About This Notice

This notice covers information submitted through the website, including consultation, contact, and enrollment forms, and limited technical information processed when the website is visited.

Submitting an inquiry or enrollment-information form does not itself create a client relationship, sign an agreement, complete a payment, or guarantee that Wise Zebra will accept an engagement.

02

When you submit a consultation request, enrollment-information form, or otherwise contact us, we may collect information you voluntarily provide, including:

  • Contracting client, parent, guardian, adult applicant, or authorized payer name and relationship
  • Email address or WeChat ID
  • Mobile number when provided for enrollment follow-up
  • Preferred communication method
  • Applicant legal name, preferred name, and whether the applicant is under 18 or age 18 or older
  • Student’s current grade, degree level, or educational stage
  • Application pathway or service interests
  • Requested service package, payment-plan preference, expected payment method, and optional payment-confirmation name or payer note
  • Confirmations concerning adult authority, electronic records, privacy, and the later formal agreement
  • General academic, extracurricular, professional, or research background
  • Questions, goals, concerns, or other information included in a message
  • Scheduling information related to an initial consultation

Information processed automatically

Our website hosting, security, and technical providers may automatically process limited technical information, including:

  • Internet Protocol address and general country or region derived from it
  • Browser, device, and operating-system information
  • Date and time of access, requested pages, and referring page
  • Security, performance, and diagnostic logs
  • A short-lived, strictly necessary cookie used to limit repeated form submissions

Please provide only the information reasonably necessary for us to understand and respond to your inquiry or enrollment request.

03

How and Why We Use Information

  • Respond to consultation and contact requests
  • Understand the student’s current stage, goals, and service needs
  • Determine an appropriate communication method and prepare for an initial consultation
  • Review enrollment information and prepare the applicable formal service agreement and payment instructions
  • Communicate about services the family has requested
  • Maintain reasonable inquiry and follow-up records
  • Prevent spam, fraud, misuse, and security incidents
  • Operate, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the website
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect our legal rights

04

Children and Minors

The public consultation form is intended primarily for parents, legal guardians, adult applicants, and applicants age 13 or older. A child under 13 should not submit the form directly; a parent or legal guardian should submit the inquiry on the child’s behalf.

When an applicant is under 18, the enrollment-information form must be submitted by a parent or legal guardian acting as the contracting client. If we learn that personal information was submitted directly by a child under 13 without legally required parental authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it. We will provide additional protections for minors when required by applicable law.

05

Sensitive Information and Documents

Do not use a public website form, ordinary email, or WeChat to send highly sensitive information unless Wise Zebra has specifically instructed you to use an appropriate method. In particular, please do not send:

  • Passports, government identification, Social Security numbers, or national identification numbers
  • Full transcripts, complete student records, or confidential recommendation letters
  • Financial account, payment, immigration, medical, or health information
  • Passwords, account credentials, or unnecessary details about disciplinary matters

If documents are needed after a formal service relationship begins, we will provide separate submission instructions.

06

Cookies, Logs, and Analytics

The website currently uses short-lived, strictly necessary cookies to limit repeated form submissions. Hosting and security providers may also process technical logs and use technologies necessary to deliver and protect the website.

The public website does not use website-form information for third-party behavioral advertising, and we do not knowingly allow advertising networks to use that information to track visitors across unrelated websites. If our use of analytics or cookies changes materially, we will update this notice and provide any choices required by law.

07

Do Not Track and Privacy Signals

Because there is no universally accepted technical standard for browser “Do Not Track” signals, the website may not respond to them uniformly. Wise Zebra does not sell website-form information or use it for cross-site behavioral advertising.

Where applicable law requires recognition of a legally valid browser-based privacy signal, we will respond as required by that law and according to the website’s technical capabilities.

08

How We Disclose Information

Service providers

We may use providers that support website hosting and security, form routing and automation, email delivery, scheduling, inquiry management, data storage, backup, and information-technology support. Our current website workflow uses Cloudflare for website hosting and security and Make for form routing and automation. Providers process information only as needed to perform services for Wise Zebra, subject to their roles, agreements, and applicable law.

Legal and safety purposes

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or a lawful request; protect the rights, safety, or property of Wise Zebra, our users, or others; investigate suspected fraud, misuse, or security threats; or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Business changes

If Wise Zebra is involved in a merger, reorganization, financing, sale of assets, or similar transaction, relevant information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections.

09

We Do Not Sell Personal Information

Wise Zebra does not sell or rent personal information submitted through website forms.

We do not share website-form information with third parties for their independent behavioral advertising purposes.

10

Email and WeChat Communications

If you provide an email address or WeChat ID, we may use that method to respond to your inquiry and communicate about requested services.

If you choose WeChat or another third-party communication platform, that platform separately processes information under its own terms and privacy practices. Please avoid sending sensitive documents through WeChat or ordinary email unless Wise Zebra has provided specific instructions and the method is appropriate for the information.

11

International Visitors and Data Processing

Wise Zebra is based in Michigan, United States. Information submitted through the website may be processed and stored in the United States or in other locations where our service providers operate. Privacy and data-protection laws in those locations may differ from those in your place of residence.

Where applicable law requires additional notice, consent, contractual protection, or other measures for international data transfers, we will take reasonable steps to satisfy those requirements.

12

Information Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this notice. Ordinary consultation inquiries are generally retained for up to 24 months after the most recent meaningful communication, unless:

  • You ask us to retain the information for longer-term planning or follow-up
  • You become a client and different service-record requirements apply
  • A longer period is reasonably necessary for legal, accounting, dispute-resolution, fraud-prevention, or security purposes
  • Applicable law requires a different period

Certain technical logs, backups, and archived records may remain for limited additional periods before being overwritten or deleted.

13

Information Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. These measures include limiting access based on business need, using account and access controls, selecting providers appropriate to the information involved, maintaining website security protections, limiting sensitive information collected through public forms, and responding to suspected security incidents.

No website, email system, communication platform, or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If a security incident creates a legal notification obligation, Wise Zebra will provide notice as required by applicable law.

14

Access, Correction, and Deletion Requests

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you submitted, or to ask how your inquiry information has been used or disclosed. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

  • We may need to verify your identity before completing a request
  • For information concerning a minor, we may verify the requesting adult’s authority as parent or legal guardian
  • We may retain information when reasonably necessary or legally permitted for compliance, security, accounting, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or legal claims

Submit privacy requests to: consulting@wisezebraglobal.com

15

State and Other Privacy Rights

Residents of certain states or countries may have additional rights under applicable law. Depending on the law and whether it applies to Wise Zebra, these may include rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or information concerning disclosures.

Wise Zebra will evaluate and respond to valid requests as required by applicable law.

16

Third-Party Websites and Services

The website may link to schools, universities, application platforms, scheduling providers, WeChat, or other third-party websites and services.

Wise Zebra does not control the privacy, security, or content practices of those third parties. Review their privacy notices before providing information directly to them.

17

Changes to This Notice

We may update this Website Privacy Notice when our services, technology, providers, or legal obligations change. The updated version will be posted on this page.

If a change materially affects how previously collected information is used, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by applicable law.
